Two-Tank Dive at One of the Pacific’s Premier Sites. PADI Certification Required.
The Catalina Islands sit where cold, nutrient-rich Pacific upwellings meet warm coastal waters β creating an underwater ecosystem unlike anything else in Guanacaste. Dramatic volcanic rock formations rise from the seafloor in columns and archways, providing shelter for one of the most diverse concentrations of marine life on this coast. White-tip reef sharks rest along the bottom in groups. Giant manta rays cruise the open water. Eagle rays, stingrays, jewel and green moray eels, nudibranchs, angelfish, butterflyfish, and dense schools of jacks, grunts, and spadefish fill the water column at every depth.
This is a two-tank dive trip β two 40-minute dives at a maximum depth of 18m/60ft, with a surface interval between dives aboard the boat. The boat departs from the Flamingo dive shop at 7:30 AM, takes approximately 40 minutes to reach the islands, and returns to shore around 1:00 PM. Dive groups are capped at 4β5 divers per certified guide. All diving equipment is provided. PADI certification is required β proof of your dive license must be presented at the shop during check-in paperwork.
