Snorkeling β€” Catalina Islands

No Experience Required. Incredible Marine Life Guaranteed.

The Catalina Islands offer some of the most accessible and rewarding snorkeling on Costa Rica’s Pacific coast β€” close enough for a morning trip, productive enough to leave a lasting impression. Two snorkel sites along the volcanic rock formations put you in the water with sharks, rays, angelfish, pufferfish, sea stars, and dense schools of tropical fish in conditions that are typically clear and calm.

The boat departs from the Flamingo dive shop at 7:30 AM and reaches the islands in approximately 40 minutes. Each water session is around 40 minutes at two separate sites. Guides enter the water with the group throughout. All snorkeling equipment is provided. Flotation devices are available for every guest on board β€” no experience or swimming ability beyond basic comfort in the water is required. The boat returns to shore around 1:00 PM.
